Card of The Month: Blaster, the Flame-Incarnate Dragon

Hello everybody! I'm back!
It's been a long time since I've post something new in this blog because nothing much is going on except for the domination of the Incarnate Dragons and the unfair advantage of Magicals.

Anyway, since summer is just around the corner (except for us tropical countries), I decided that the COTM should be as hot as summer. I was choosing between the Flame Stars or the Fire Kings, but since the Incarnates are the current dominant force, I finalized that the COTM should be none other but their very own generic Pyrorex, Blaster, the Flame-Incarnate Dragon

Blaster, the Flame-Incarnate Dragon
FIRE / Dragon / Level 7 / 2800/1800
"You can banish 2 Dragon-Type and/or FIRE monsters from hand or Graveyard, except this card; Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 other FIRE monster to the Graveyard to target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. If this card is banished; you can add 1 FIRE Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Blaster, the Flame-Incarnate Dragon" effect per turn, and only once that turn."

Blaster is a 2800 beatstick that is special summonable just by banishing 2 Dragons and/or FIRE monsters from hand or grave. 2800 is a big deal since it can trample some of the game's boss monsters such as Grapha and Hyperion.

Yes, it does return to the hand just like its brothers but as an upside, you can recycle it to use its more favored effect. By discarding itself and another Fire monster, you can pop 1 card on the field. This is the reason why Blaster is a great card. With this ability, Incarnates manage to fight against Verz Ophion by destroying it with this ability. Although you still have to watch out for Verz' Forbidden Garment since if it was chained, Ophion will survive.

Nothing much is spectacular about Blaster except for its destroying ability and high ATK power. For me it is a better tech card rather than being a boss card.

Even the 3-axis Flame Stars put this card to destroy unnecessary cards and to dump the unneeded monster only to be revived by Choten and start its flexible combos.

Some Notable Friends:

"Incarnate Dragons"
Of course it will work well with its brothers. Unlike the Magicals that rely only in 1 card for its unfair advantage, the Incarnate Dragons are 4 cards working well with each other to stack their advantages to cripple the opponent. It is also the Incarnate Dragon that has the highest ATK power, but screw that because we all know we're just gonna use them to XYZ Summon Big Eye or Drago-Sac

"Fire Kings"
Blaster works great with Fire Kings to destroy them and use their effects and to dump that useless stuck Garunix in hand if you don't have a Yaksha. It can also be used as another beatstick since Garunix only has 2700 ATK power and Blaster is bigger by 100 points.

As a side note, and letting my Otaku side out, if the dominant force right now are Incarnates and a lot of player are using them, it has come to my attention that YGO is just like Fairy Tail (in the manga) right now. The other archetypes are being attacked by 10000 dragons so I guess Konami should print Fairy Tail themed cards or print the Eclipse Cannon, just saying.
