Dark World - Dragon Slayer Mode

Hello everyone!
I know there's only like at least 2 months until the fall of the magical-dragon meta since the ban hammer is about to come and I hope Konami knows what they're about to do for September.

Anyway, this blog is called MasterEM of DW as seen in the URL of this blog, but the only post I have here that is related to DW is perhaps the first post which is about Grapha, well, that's because when I made this blog, they were irrelevant due to the rise of the Incarnate Dragons and Magicals due to LTGY. But that didn't stop me for trying and trying to fight these two decks. After hours and hours of testing I finally found the close-to-perfect build for DW.

Deck list after the jump

So first of, how does it work?

The main objective of this deck is to prevent the Xyz summoning of Incarnate-Dragons to their favorite Xyz such as Big Eye and Dragozack. So how do we do that?

I have Darklight to destroy all special summoned monsters that turn including your own by tributing 1 DARK monster with 1500 ATK or higher. The monsters in the deck are all tribute fodders for this card with the exception of hand traps, Kamenleon and Broww w/o Gates. This is only a 1 turn card to disrupt Dragons from doing their combo so be sure to use it wisely since mostly, you're still going to rely on Grapha for power. In using this card, the best way that you can utilize this card is when your opponent summoned his/her Rank 7s, since by that time, he/she would've used up all the dragons' effects to summon that Big Eye or Dragozack. You can also use this when your opponent's just summoned Blaster attacks you to destroy it and slow him down since most of the time you'll be sacrificing Grapha which we all know is immortal in the graveyard.

Another method here to prevent the dragons is of course the popular method of summoning  Crimson Blader to prevent them from special summoning their dragons and also stopping their Xyz. Right now, the only tuner in the deck is Kamenleon, I tried using Raven and Sillva but the deck gave me more bad draws so I chose Kamenleon as a tuner since I don't usually use my normal summon and for a better top deck. As you can see , Snoww is the only target for Kamenleon but it usually isn't a problem since Snoww will actually be in the grave for most of the time.

You might think that I focused myself only towards the dragons and forgot about the other decks, but I will tell you, Darklight is also good Prophecy to destroy that Cisty after the resolution of Spellbook Judgment to prevent the search or use it against the now popular Blue-Eyed Maiden since Darklight doesn't target. You can also side-in EEV since it's a DW deck.

Against Verz is not much of a problem since you have Grapha to destroy it or Xyx to Gem Knight Pearl or Dire Wolf. Xyz summoning off Rank 4s can also be done with Kamenleon's effect or discard Beiige using Trans Archfiend's effect, or you could just use Solemn Warning.

Why Dark World Dealings instead of Dragged Down?

Sometimes, your opponent doesn't have a hand card so it's stuck in your hand. And you have 4 hand traps that may prevent you from using Dragged Down. Dealings prevent the hand traps from preventing you to discard in this manner.

I only put 2 Dealings since this is only a bonus way of discarding since the main way we're gonna discard is by Trans Archfiend and Gates of the Dark World hence the existence of Terraforming in the deck.

Compulsory against BTH?

I prefer Compulsory since it's chainable but you can use BTH since picking trap line up is like picking your own poison.

Safe Zone and CoTH?

I took a liking to Safe Zone since it protects Crimson Blader and Grapha from harm although Grapha can't attack directly which is pretty much the winning attack all the time. Preventing Crimson Blader to attack directly is not much of a problem since we actually want it to attack monsters for the plan to work.

CoTH is of course to revive monsters like Crimson Blader, Kamenleon, Trans Archfiend, or another Dark World monster aside Grapha, since Grapha can be revived by other Dark World monsters, for them to be reused again.

Black Rose Dragon? How?

Normal Kamenleon, MR Broww or vice-versa. Or there are other ways that involves MR.

King Gremlin?

It fetches Kamenleon which is usually summonable by Trans discarding Beiige.

Lastly, this deck takes a lot of thinking since it's not your usual Dark World that just play solitaire since there are less discarding options although you can still see some of those plays but only to a minimum. And with the addition of Kamenleon, Foolish Burial now has two targets; Grapha for beatdown or Snoww for making a Crimson Blader.

Also, for those people who thinks DW is autopilot, it's not. There is actually a lot of thinking that needs to be considered for every discard. You don't just discard Snoww because you can, you have to think of future steps since the opponent may have a card that can spell trouble for you. If you use up all your draw power in just an instance, your gonna have a bad time if your opponent manage to make his/her card better. Every discard is a double-edge sword since it also fixes your opponent's hand if he/she manage to draw the card she needs. Always be careful in making a right play and always think 5 steps ahead and just like Aichi Sendou would say, "Picture it, your winning image".

Also, Shadow Specters is coming and I'm gonna add that new Felgrand card in the build.
